The German subsidiary of Nicholl Food Packaging Group is investing in excess of €100,000 in hygiene certification and new IT systems in order to enhance its levels of customer service and response, and continue to develop its business throughout Germany, Scandinavia and Eastern Europe.
Bachmann Aluminium Packaging has now achieved HACCP (Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Point) accreditation, underlining the company’s commitment to maintaining the highest hygiene standards throughout its operations. The new accreditation is linked to the company’s existing ISO9001 quality standard and includes the implementation of comprehensive procedures and monitoring processes, together with full documentation, to ensure strict hygiene practices are continually implemented and maintained, and supported by an in-depth staff training programme.
In addition, Bachmann has been awarded Normpack accreditation, confirming that its packs meet the quality and hygiene requirements of Scandinavian countries.
Bachmann has also invested around €70,000 in a new warehouse management and inventory control system. This provides regularly updated information from raw materials through to finished goods, helping to create a more efficient production and storage operation and enabling the company to provide a faster response time to customer orders and queries.
“As a leading supplier of aluminium packaging to the food industry, we are committed to delivering the highest levels of quality and service to all our customers,” comments Bernd Wagner, Managing Director of Bachmann Aluminium Packaging.
“In competitive retail markets, maintaining the highest hygiene standards is vital for our customers; so too is being able to respond efficiently to their orders and to react quickly to any changes or last-minute requests. Our latest investment has therefore focused specifically in further enhancing our capabilities in both these areas.”
Established in 1970, Bachmann Aluminium GmbH manufactures a wide range of aluminium containers for a variety of food products. The company also offers a bespoke design service to create tailor-made containers for specific customer or product requirements.
