Sidel is applying its know-how in packaging solutions in order to create the new complete line for Northern Bottling Company (NBC), a subsidiary of Haidri Beverages Group. Northern Bottling Company leads the beverage market in the northern region of Pakistan and has been a successful PepsiCo franchise for more than 25 years. The line, with a capacity of more than 45,000 bottles per hour, opens a new stage of innovative technologies, high efficiency and productivity in the beverage industry of this country, and will contribute to further enhance the capacity of Northern Bottling Company, whose volume has already grown by 30% in the 2021-2022 financial year. He will work with four bottle sizes and with five recipes, producing PepsiCo drinks, specifically Pepsi, 7up, Mirinda, Pepsi Diet and the energetic Sting, in the formats of 300 ml, 345 ml, 500 ml and 1500 ml.
We were impressed by Sidel’s total commitment to services and its unique ability to optimize configuration on a high-speed line equipped with cutting-edge technologies. These were the main reasons why we entrusted Sidel with our new investment,” explains Ali Navaiz, group chief Operating Officer of Haidri Beverages Group. “We are excited about this collaboration,” adds Vedat Guler, Sidel’s Sales Director Middle East. We strive to help NBC achieve its goals in terms of commercialization, sustainability and efficiency, adding value through our innovative bottle design and our solutions for reducing energy and resource consumption.”
The complete Sidel line will allow NBC to save energy and resources. In fact, the Sidel Combi can blow bottles using the lowest possible pressure. In addition, the air is recycled and the consumption of the water used to cool the bottom of the bottle is reduced. The line is capable of working with recycled PET (r-PET) bottles, which, together with the StarLite bottle base, patented by Sidel, will help NBC and PepsiCo achieve their future sustainability goals. The innovative StarLite bottom optimizes the amount of PET per bottle, thereby reducing material consumption and limiting emissions during transport. In this way, it contributes to sustainability.
Sidel is confident of meeting NBC’s high expectations and performance targets, as its line and technology engineering, innovative solutions, resource efficiency and improvements in packaging design, together with its local services and after-sales support, will add value and reduce the total cost of ownership (TCO).
