Equiplast, the International Meeting of Plastics and Rubber, has contracted 90% of its exhibition space, which means that this will be one of the best calls in recent years. At the moment, with five months to go until its celebration, a total of 140 companies representing more than 300 brands have confirmed their participation as direct exhibitors of the fair that, organized by Fira de Barcelona, will take place from May 30 to June 2 at the Gran Via venue.
Thus, companies such as AGI, Alimatic, Arburg, BMB, Centrotechnica, Coscollola, Douma, Ferromatik, Haitian. Luiso, Mateu Solé, Mircan, MKP, Negri Bossi, Lapeyra and Taltavull, Protecnic, Raorsa, Roegele, SeproRobotica or Wittmann, among others, will present their products, novelties and solutions so that the plastic sector can face with guarantees the challenge posed by the legal obligations of the new waste and packaging regulations that have recently entered into force.
In this sense, Equiplast will celebrate in 2023 a very important edition for the future of a sector that will have to face the new restrictions and limitations of the use of plastics, as well as the promotion of recycling included in the Waste and Contaminated Soils Law, which, among other issues, imposes a tax on single-use plastic containers from this January.
As a great novelty, the fair will have the ‘Best in Class’ program, an initiative that will recognize the best innovation developed in the field of circular economy, digitalization and technology transfer by a company in the sector and that is being applied by a company as a client. In addition, in its commitment to promoting sustainability, Equiplast will exhibit various products made with recycled material, in the Rethinking Plastics exhibition.
For the first time, the event will be held at the end of May and the beginning of June, meeting the demands of the main sectoral agents who consider it to be a more ideal month for their commercial and communication and marketing policy.
With the slogan ‘Connecting industry, society & sustainability’, Equiplast 2023, which will publicize the commitment of the plastics sector to minimize the environmental impact of its industrial activity, will be articulated around the circular economy, technology transfer and digitalization as major thematic axes.
