The first exhibition participation of Gerhard Schubert GmbH in 2023 is the CFIA of Rennes. From March 14 to 16, visitors will have the opportunity to explore the packaging machinery manufacturer’s extensive experience in all aspects of food packaging. In Hall 10A, stand F5, the French Schubert team, led by Charles-Antoine Freiher, will present highly flexible, efficient and resource-saving packaging solutions. Schubert experts will also share their experience in the selection of environmentally friendly packaging materials and present in-house developed cartons.
In 2023, the Carrefour des Fournisseurs de l’Industrie Agroalimentaire, or CFIA, will once again offer companies in the food, confectionery, bakery and dairy industries a platform to discover new trends and cutting-edge developments. At stand F5 in Hall 10A, Schubert experts will show their customers, potential customers and visitors the company’s numerous innovations and sustainable packaging solutions. With its sustainability initiative Mission Blue, the German packaging machinery manufacturer has set out to support the food sector on its way to climate-friendly packaging.

The presentations at the fair will focus on examples of practical applications for the food, dairy, bakery and pastry industries. These include automated packaging solutions to perform tasks such as pick & place, flowpack packaging and packaging of a wide variety of products and formats. Schubert’s portfolio now includes its new Cobot for the flexible and efficient automation of product feeding to machines. The tog 519 picks up light products by pick & place reliably, carefully and with a very high cycle frequency. The image processing controlled by artificial intelligence makes programming practically superfluous for manufacturers and opens up new fields of application. The Cobot will be able to be experienced live for the first time in May at the Interpack 2023 trade fair in Düsseldorf. However, interested customers can see a preview of the innovations that the Schubert team will present at the main international trade fair in Rennes.
Schubert’s customers benefit from efficient processes, less waste and exceptionally flexible automation thanks to the company’s advanced robotic technology and extensive consulting experience. Especially in view of the rapid evolution of the food market and the growing demand for sustainable packaging, flexibility is essential for manufacturers. At the fair, Schubert will demonstrate a notable advantage in this regard: The packaging lines can alternate between conventional and recyclable packaging materials, for example between plastic trays and cardboard or between laminated sheets and paper sheets when packaging in flowpacks.

Visitors to the Schubert stand will also have the opportunity to discover how newly developed packaging can make the entire process more efficient, save more resources and therefore be more sustainable. Of course, the packaging material is key: Composite materials are increasingly being replaced by recyclable alternatives of plastic or even cardboard. Schubert not only offers support in the selection of suitable machine-compatible materials, but also develops new cardboard packaging perfectly adapted to the packaging process for its customers. With Schubert as a partner, companies in the food industry are ideally placed to meet the demanding demands of the future.
